Why Today?
After 11 years working in finance — from large corporations to lean startups building AI software — I've seen both sides of the equation. I've seen the tedious, manual, repetitive work that drains finance teams. And I've seen what AI can do when applied thoughtfully.
The gap between the two is enormous. And closing that gap is now my mission.
What I'm Building
I'm not just learning about AI. I'm building real systems: - An AI-powered purchase order system - An intelligent invoicing and matching engine - Automated financial reporting - AI-driven finance strategy tools - A complete AI-augmented finance function
Each one will be documented from concept to implementation, with full transparency about what works, what fails, and what I learn along the way.
Why Public?
Every accountant and finance professional I speak to has the same questions: Where do I start? Will AI replace me? How do I stay relevant?
I don't have all the answers yet. But by documenting this journey publicly, I'm creating something that didn't exist when I started looking — a real, honest, day-by-day account of what it actually takes to transform finance with AI.
